Following the first two Visual Assemblies of 2025 at MayDay Space in NYC and OBA Oosterdok in Amsterdam this February, we’re excited to share the tentative schedule for the upcoming VA:s in the US, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Germany, Italy, Kenya, and Switzerland.

The NYC event, organized in collaboration with MayDay Space, will evolve into a Map of Units of Care and will be followed by the brainstorming session at Interference Archive on March 27th.

The Amsterdam VA, hosted by OBA Oosterdok, the city’s Central Public Library, was a fantastic pilot event, with children making up the majority of participants. We’re excited to develop the project further in the Netherlands as an ongoing series—more updates coming soon!

On April 11th, Nika Dubrovsky will facilitate a Visual Assembly in St Vincent and the Grenadines as part of the Island in the Future conference.

On May 15th, Städelschule in Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany, will host a Visual Assembly—marking a return after Nika Dubrovsky’s lecture there in November 2023. Shortly after, from May 23rd to 25th, a three-day Visual Assembly will take place at Festival dei Matti in Venice, Italy.

On June 30th, the Visual Assemblies will head to East Africa, starting with an event in collaboration with the Sigana International Storytelling Festival in Nairobi, Kenya.

In November, a Visual Assembly is planned in Bern, Switzerland, in partnership with Sommerakademie Paul Klee.
